At SAMA Homes, our core mission is to help you build a sustainable, zero-waste lifestyle by swapping out single-use materials for premium, traditional alternatives. We believe in radical transparency regarding every component we use to craft our wellness tools.

Our commitment begins with our Zero-Toxic-Sealant Policy. We strictly prohibit the use of industrial glues, lead solders, or toxic resins in the construction of any SAMA Homes product. Whether we are forging pure copper or manufacturing Kansa dinnerware, your health and safety dictate our engineering.

While the body of our hydration vessels is crafted from lab-certified, 99.6% pure virgin copper (ensuring the unlined contact necessary for the Oligodynamic effect), we want our community to be fully informed about the engineering of our leak-proof caps and dispenser valves. Because different lifestyles require different bottle designs, we utilize distinct cap and spigot styles across our collections, each engineered with specific, food-safe sealing mechanisms.

Our Three Cap Designs:

• 1. The Outer-Threaded Cap (Standard Seal)
  • How it works: This traditional cap screws over the outside neck of the copper bottle.
  • The Materials: To ensure the vessel is completely leak-proof and to prevent the copper cap from grinding against the bottle, the interior of this cap features a highly durable, BPA-free, food-grade synthetic polymer seal and inner threading.
  • Water Contact: The seal is tucked safely inside the threading mechanism, designed to sit entirely outside the primary water contact zone.
• 2. The Inner-Plug Cap (Silicone O-Ring)
  • How it works: This seamless cap design fits directly inside the neck of the bottle.
  • The Materials: This cap utilizes a pure, food-grade silicone O-ring to create an airtight vacuum seal. Silicone is a highly durable, non-toxic material that serves as the gold standard for zero-waste hydration.
  • Water Contact: The silicone ring sits tightly against the copper neck, ensuring your water touches nothing but pure copper and food-safe silicone.
• 3. The Active Sipper Cap (Sports/Travel Design)
  • How it works: Designed for active use, this cap features a functional flip-top or built-in drinking spout.
  • The Materials: Because the complex internal valves and hinges of a sipper mechanism cannot be machined from soft copper without breaking, this specific cap style is constructed from a high-density, BPA-free engineered polymer.
  • Water Contact: While water passes through the food-safe sipper mechanism when drinking, the water stored inside the main vessel rests entirely against the pure, unlined copper walls.

Water Dispenser Spigots & Valves

• The Stainless Steel & Brass Dispenser Tap
  • How it works: Our high-capacity copper water dispensers feature a mechanical tap (spigot) to easily pour water without tipping the heavy 5L+ vessel.
  • The Materials: Pure virgin copper is an extremely soft and malleable metal. It is physically impossible to machine a moving mechanical valve out of pure copper; the friction would immediately grind the soft metal down and cause severe leaking. Therefore, our dispenser spigots are purposefully constructed from highly durable, food-grade stainless steel and brass, utilizing food-safe silicone washers to form a permanent watertight seal against the copper wall.
  • Water Contact: While the primary vessel is 99.6% pure copper, the water will be in contact with the stainless steel/brass valve mechanism and silicone washers as it sits in and flows through the tap.

Beyond Copper: Kansa Dinnerware Purity

• Lead-Free Bronze: Unlike cheap imitations, our authentic Kansa (Bronze Bell Metal) dinnerware is composed exclusively of a 78% Copper and 22% Tin alloy. It is rigorously lab-tested to guarantee it is 100% lead-free, ensuring a safe, alkalizing dining experience.

Third-Party Professional Brands

• Hardware & Consumables: Please note that this Material Transparency disclosure applies specifically to SAMA Homes' proprietary handcrafted metalware, woodwork, and zero-waste wellness goods. For professional barbering electronics (e.g., Wahl, BaBylissPRO, Andis) and formulated consumables (e.g., shaving soaps, styling powders, hair color), all ingredient lists, metallurgy specs, and material safety data are determined by the original third-party manufacturer. Please refer to the individual product pages or the physical manufacturer packaging for those specific material disclosures.

Why These Components are Necessary

• Leak Prevention: A 100% copper-to-copper seal cannot be made airtight for travel or static dispensing and would result in continuous leaking.
• Preventing Metal Friction: Metal-on-metal threading or valve turning causes heavy friction, which can create microscopic metal dust and destroy the integrity of the hardware. Our sealing rings and steel valves act as a necessary mechanical barrier to ensure safe usage that lasts a lifetime.

• Unbranded Boxes & No Paper Leaflets: To aggressively reduce our environmental footprint and keep our premium handcrafted goods accessible, we strictly avoid glossy branded manufacturing boxes and single-use paper inserts.
• Digital-First Care: Your order will arrive in clean, unbranded, or reused eco-packaging. All extensive product care guides, assembly instructions, and Ayurvedic best practices are hosted entirely digitally on our website to prevent unnecessary landfill waste.
